  Considered to be more of a neo noir because of the year that it was released and not part of the golden era of noir's, but this would stand toe to toe with the best of them from that time. This is a great one.

  No one involved is setting out to reinvent the wheel. Just telling a story about how one man convinced a burgeoning legend that their shoe was the right one for him. And, it worked.

  Watching the Criterion blu ray of this film almost made me feel like I was back in the theater in 1991 watching it for the first time. It looks amazing! We know about the great cast and Demme as director but man oh man that script. Wow! All of these things together no wonder it swept at the Oscars!
