Wait, what!? I'm hoping this was just one of those days because this is the least I've ever enjoyed this film. It was always my fave of the sequels which is why I can't bring it in me to give a rating less than 3 and a half.
Everything I used to enjoy most about it, the psychiatric hospital setting, how Kristen can pull people into her dreams and Nancy's return just didn't work so much for me tonight. Found it all a little hokey I'm sad to say. Heather Langenkamp takes a bit of stick but I thought she was fine in the first film. Here though, if her acting was a fraction as big as her hair she woulda been alright! Luckily she does get better as it goes along. Loved Saxon's parts tho.
Saying all of this I did still love all of the amazing moments in the film especially sleepwalking death and 'Welcome to Primetime, bitch.' I wasn't really feeling Freddy neither. Not creepy at all like the first 2 but not really funny either. Ah, I dunno, feel really disappointed. Onto part 4 tomorrow which is the one I change my mind on every single time.
