A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors ★★★★

Horror Rewind 1987. This turned 30 ALL the way back on February 27th. And this ranks up there as tops for me of the franchise, along with the first film. I mean, this was the feature film debut of Patricia Arquette, which has to count for something damn it! Written by the late/great Wes Craven, director Chuck Russell and even Frank Darabont got in on this thing. I love that they brought back both Heather Langenkamp and John Saxon from the first film and we even learn for the first time the origins of Freddy! This is where the witty one-liners, dark humor and surrealist dreams all came from, right here! Plus this has some amazingly gory and awesome practical effects that ROCK!!! I love that these kids who Freddy is terrorizing all band together and become The Dream Warriors! Freddy Syringe-Fingers might be my new favorite thing EVER! And don't forget this absolutely AWESOME title track by Dokken!
