  Either way - it rules, and is definitely one of my favorite horror remakes from this era.

  “...Because you were home.”

  
  The scene where Liv Tyler was smoking in the living room and you see “guy in mask” appear behind her (without her noticing) still feels so incredibly violating and effective. 

  I don’t care how many times I watch this, it still makes me uncomfortable from start to finish.
