    Was a 3/5, now a 3.5/5

Glad I appreciated this more rewatching it and learning about it in film class but I still struggle to completely get into it. Javier Bardem's performance is masterful, possibly the most impressive performance of a psychopath ever?

I'm not entirely sure what else to write about No Country For Old Men. It's certainly not a bad film, just one that I can't seem to like as much as other people.

    John Wick: Chapter 2

    ★★★★

John Wick: Chapter 2 is a massive improvement from the first one. It's far bigger and much more brutal. While I felt that his motivations in the first film were just an easy way to introduce his character, having a much bigger plot made his motivations this time a lot more interesting. I liked the plot of this film so much more and the introduction of the Marker and it's consequences to Wick is very cool too.

A very awesome sequel, can't wait for 3&4!

An instant all-time favourite. Easily the best Spielberg I've yet to see. This was so smart, wickedly entertaining and that ending was so touching. This is going to be on my mind for a while. Can't recommend it enough.

    John Wick

    ★★★

Along with a few other action flicks I've seen recently this is another example of style over substance. I struggle to see either of these which sucks as this was pretty highly anticipated. It's paced so quickly that by the time it was finished I found nearly nothing remarkable about it. I just wish this has a better story to support the amount of pure action Stahelski showcases.

This really is missed potential. Adam Driver's performance isn't too bad but i could not take him seriously AT ALL. Everytime he attempted to act serious and bad-ass I was on the verge of laughing. The visual effects and set design are definitely what this film really excells in, both were quite cool.

Apart from what I mentioned above, this was boring as fuck. The two main characters spend nearly all the time walking and barely speaking. There are threats…

    Cocaine Bear

    ★★★

Despite it's flaws, Cocaine Bear was one of the most fun cinema experiences I've had. Most of the characters were surprisingly bearable (😉) apart from Keri Russell and the two kids. The gore was unexpectedly good, the comedy was fun and made me consistently laugh throughout its brisk run-time. Heavily recommend checking this out with a friend, made the whole experience 10x more enjoyable.
