film is the most special thing ever. peoples hard work, stories, heartbreaks and lives get a chance to be immortalized and celebrated forever in this medium. babylon is one of the few films to be able to describe that and it does it in a way that will never ever leave you. this is what going to the cinema and movies are all about man.

i owe everything to gregg araki. i think it would be impossible to explain how visceral and transcendental his work and especially this film have been to me since i first watched it at 15. there’s not an hour of every day when i don’t think of this movie. this film just understands everything about me. i still remember finishing it for the first time; in utter shock and disbelief after that ending and that specific feeling of euphoria has just grown bigger after time.
