Pretty. Nothing else.
It's been a while since I actually even watched a film due to work commitments, so it's a bit of an underwhelming return for me. I wanted to like this film because of all the meninazi critical derision, but it's just another superhero movie, with a lead actress who has had some shady dealings of her own. Gal Gadot shouldn't be held up as a hero and neither should this film.
A lot of the complaints I've seen go that somehow the racist cop got redemption by the end and that shouldn't happen because he's a racist cop.
Firstly, even if it that were true, it wouldn't make it a bad film in and of itself. Films do not have to be didactic.
Secondly, I don't know how anyone can think he got redemption.
