After 18 days of watching almost nothing but Spike Lee joints, I've finally come to the end of this insanely quick binge of his work. I've never gone through a director this fast before, let alone somebody with 30+ films including some documentaries and stage recordings, but I suppose it's a testiment to how consumable, addictive, and yet still remarkably striking his work is. I have a lot to say about Spike as a director, but I think I may save that for a career retrospective I'll write up in a short while once I give it all some time to digest, so for now I'll leave it at that. Da 5 Bloods is swag. Spike Lee is swag. I'm gonna chill on the movies a little now lol.
