I enjoyed parts of this but when I look at it as a whole film it just falls really flat. They up the stakes so much it becomes really hard to care what happens. The bad guy is essentially a literal god and how are you supposed to care about it? The constant jokes really dont help. Everytime something real happens everyone starts making jokes. Drax was the worst offender, I cant remember a single thing he said that wasnt meant to be a joke. It just got so tiresome.

Its a pretty film, it uses music well, and I adore Kurt Russel but god I found it so hard to care about this film. I laughed and I had some fun watching it but it just has no substance. Its another factory produced marvel film that has every single flaw Marvel films always have. Im dreading being dragged to see Infinity War because its just going to be more of the same.
