    Top Gun

Top Gun is an absolute vibe; the 80’s wrapped up into an hour and 50 minutes of pure escapism… and a bundle of joy. This film is so iconic and so memorable, despite not being like the greatest film ever made or anything. I actually liked this movie way more watching it for the second or third time now. It’s classic 80’s Tom Cruise and I really hope we get more of that Cruise after he’s done with the upcoming…

    Sequelitis strikes again!

Clearly, a lot had changed in the film landscape between the release of the first film and the release of The Legend of Zorro in 2005. Instant Classic.

The Batman is an absolute masterpiece. It might be my favorite comic book movie released since The Dark Knight but even calling it a comic book movie just sounds wrong. Batman solving puzzles and riddles, finding clues is something I’ve waited years for in live-action and it’s on full display here. It’s more than just uncovering a mystery though, it’s a story rooted inside exposing corruption…

    Soul

    ★★★★½

Soul is one of the most moving and inspirational Pixar films of all time. Carried by superb voice performances from Jamie Foxx and Tina Fey, the film delivers incredibly impactful messages and ideas through it’s gorgeous animation and witty characters. The film also features some of the most authentic NYC scenery in any film I’ve ever seen. With that said, I find that the sequences not set on Earth are a little less engaging and relatable than the ones set in places the audience is familiar with.
