  I might have cried while singing along to "This Must Be the Place" this time. I don't know what that says about me as a person. Probably that I have severe depression.

  Thank you so much to Videodrome and Plaza Theatre for letting me experience this insanity with a full crowd. This might have been one of the best theater experiences I've ever had. The fact that it was a 35mm print with the literal translations full of grammatical spelling errors ("I wish you beth the best of luck") baked in just made the experience even better. Visible wires everywhere. The bad guy looked like a Taiwanese Fabio. Our hero stabs his magic sword straight up a guy's ass and the whole theater erupted in applause. Somehow, Thrilling Bloody Sword feels good in a place like this
