Splendid direction and visuals wasted on schmaltz and heart string tugging on par with newer Robert Zemeckis films. What an enormous disappointment. You can hardly mess up the casting or script as hard as Gravity does. I'd love to just appreciate this film for the visuals, but I have to trudge through the barbed wire that is the cringe inducing dialogue and melodramatic soundtrack to do so. Can't recommend this one, sorry folks.
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me manages to be inaccessible to anyone who hasn't seen Twin Peaks, unsatisfying to anyone who has seen Twin Peaks, and not functional as a stand alone Lynch film. It's sort of a chopped up mess that seems to be missing important scenes, introducing concepts and characters without any follow up or explanation.
