justice for russel crowe’s fishies!!!!!
really enjoyed this snappy whirl of humor and mystery. the 70s L.A. setting feels gloriously lived in with all the suits and blinking neon lights. it rides on Ryan Gosling’s bumbling charisma. I had no idea how hilarious he is — why isn’t he in more comedies?? each time he shrieked a year was added to my lifespan. never would’ve thought he and russel crowe would make such a funny duo. there’s never a boring moment, some scenes were so bonkers I had to skip back to make sure they actually happened. I loved every second of it.
