i‘m sorry but wtf was that?????!!!! i absolutely loved anya in the queen‘s gambit, so i know she‘s a great actress but this entire movie felt so cringe… filled with bad writing, bad acting, and a plot that i actually couldn‘t care less about. they should‘ve just scratched the entire movie and leave it be.
when i read „written by […] owen wilson“ i decided to give this movie not three but three and a half stars. he was so incredible in this (you just can‘t hate the man) and the fact that he also had a hand in writing this??? very very cool.
overall, it still is another example of how i don‘t love wes anderson movies. there were some highlights, such as richies attempted suicide, but overall i did become slightly uninterested after some time. still excited for the french dispatch. also, i watched this movie on disney+…… life‘s weird.
I HAVE ONE HOUR LEFT PLEASE JUST BE OVER MOVIE („review“ following once this is finally done) update: 25 min left!!! i can do this
okay. i hated this, let‘s be honest. half a star for... me acknowledging that this is just not a movie for me to enjoy, if that makes sense? i just had no historical context/interest in any of this. it was just old white men talking about whatever for more than two hours. THAT‘S BORING!
but seriously, david fincher directed this?? feels nothing like what he usually delivers. i‘m sad
