Greg Dundee’s review published on Letterboxd:
Rosamund Pike is absolutely superb, portraying a character that is so unlikeable she will make audience members cringe. It is without doubt her performance that makes this movie such fun to watch, despite the fact she is such a despicable character. Peter Dinklage, Eiza González, and Dianne Wiest are all brilliant too; the latter in particular giving a fantastic performance as the innocent seeming old lady with a shady secret. Unfortunately the movie wastes a lot of great opportunities, and could’ve done with upping the tension in several scenes. The ending, although not entirely unsatisfying, fails to deliver on what had seemingly been built towards, and I imagine a lot of viewers will come away feeling a little robbed.
