Alec Greer’s review published on Letterboxd:
Been seeing this movie shat on in places recently and I gotta say: I don’t get it.
It’s no masterpiece, but I find it criminally underrated. It’s gorgeous-looking, the sequences of thrill and peril are fantastic, and it’s perfectly cast. Bob Newhart and Eva Gabor are blessed, John Candy is great as the comic relief, and George C. Scott elevates an otherwise generic baddie.
I dunno, this one’s just a fun sequel to me.
