Gun to my head, this might be my favorite movie? It has its faults (the casting of little people wearing modern Hasidic Jewish garb as the Israelites is my only big gripe, and not that this is an excuse but Russell always has to have some anti-abrahamic elements to his films) but it brings me such joy and heartbreak every time I return to it.
