Jaffa

Jaffa ★★★★★

I just revisited this film for the first time in years. It was every bit as powerful as it was the first time I watched it, despite how many movies I have seen since that original viewing. Jaffa was the movie that got me interested in art films. It showed me what films should be all about, telling a meaningful story through the various artistic and technical aspects of filmmaking. Had I not seen this film, I wouldn't be the same person I am today and I wouldn't be on Letterboxd or even know some of you reading this. I doubt most people will feel as strongly as I do about this film because it really impacted me and my life in significant ways. I can't guarantee it will do that for everyone but I strongly recommend giving it a chance and seeing what it has to offer you.
