Real good scenery, trippy stuff, good edits and overall just a real pleasure visually. Kinda boring. Slightly disappointed this went the sci-fi direction. A fictional thriller about hikers would have fit my fancy a bit more. A positive note of 2022.
The Unbearable Weight of Being Daniel Radcliffe and Playing Weird Al Yankovic.
Great humor off the get go and Daniel Radcliffe is expectedly perfect. However, the entire movie goes to shit when Madonna's character enters the picture and the tone goes from funny & silly, to absurdly stupid & over the top.
Not bad for a Roku original?
Pretty decent watch on edibles. Wouldn't recommend if bored and sober. Better than expected cast camaraderie, but Gemma Chan seemed out of place and Kit Harrington's role was wasted...for now?
The Eternals are an unnecessary addition to the already heavily overpopulated MCU and hopefully the ball stops here...but you can't just skip a movie in the timeline ole sport.
Director Park Hoon-Jung is top tier in his cinematography and it seems like every movie of his is just a couple elements away from being a hit...Night in Paradise is no exception. Park takes full advantage of murky weather to compliment his dreary crime themes and excels at creating an inevitable dark end for our main protagonist before his story even begins.
I give this a slight edge over "New World", but I'm mainly excited to see what Park does going forward.
