Letterboxd — Your life in film

A tragic story on some of life’s circumstances that rob us of the degree in which we as humans experience the privilege of choice, fueled by decisions made from greed.

As I watched this movie, I could feel the anxiety and rush of the darkest version of a fast paced NYC life.

Truly imaginative story that blends guatemalan folklore story telling with real life historic events that shaped the country’s history and current sociological and political context. 

The film, for me, fails to deliver a sense of revenge and satisfaction that throughout the film, I as a viewer was counting on.

Visually nostalgic cinematography that evokes an Ed Ruscha’s Americana met with some of Kerouac’s hitch-hiking storytelling. 

Somewhat of a slow build-up to a delicate and lesson teaching ending.
