Ok, this grew on me a lot.
This film is pure nostalgia in the best way. No cheap gags or multiverse hopping, no reliance on pop culture references, just fifth grade. But how can you talk about fifth grade without mentioning Pokémon cards and Silly Bands at recess, or Mario Kart and Minecraft Parodies after school? I’ve been watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood since June and I’ve been really taking my time with it because I didn’t want it to end, which I seem to do with a lot of finished shows, but this one more so than others. It’s a bittersweet feeling, finishing shows and saying goodbye to the characters, but that goes to show how much I loved this.
