Nice comfort food 80s giallo set amongst the fashion world. Honestly it’s not that great and I would never recommend above many other gialli but it’s comfort food to me at this point. Great score, good kills, decent mystery, nice final twist, looks good…it’s just a pleasing murder mystery of a very Italian mode.

It is super weird watching Donald Pleasance talking with a bad Italian accent. By super weird I mean super good in that Donald Pleasance way we all know and love.

Very effective in its grossness and the natural squeamishness of little arachnid type bugs crawling everywhere and fucking it up as they go. Very goopy effects and it just works as a gross and tense horror flick. Fun is had along the way with some subpar acting and an infested Clint Howard so it’s not all goop but it really works as a gross out horror. Baby Seth Green and Carlton Banks make for familiar faces in the crowd to accompany you along this journey that made my wife exclaim, “this is just as bad as Arachnophobia. I’m out.”

The theme here is similar to Herzog's Aguirre. Again he is flirting with the meticulous descent into madness but his scope has changed. Heart of Glass deals not with the madness of obsession but the madness of loss. Herzog has also opened up his scope from a single individual or small group to an entire village.

Heart of Glass is about a…

Part of My Italian Horror/Giallo Adventure

The lore and reputation surrounding this film is something every cinephile has heard. It's created both an air of mystique and a fear. Many people refuse to watch the film because of the reputation, fearing that's it's just too much for them to handle. As a filmgoer that knows no fear, Cannibal Holocaust is a film that screamed to be watched, to have the experience known.

Let's start with the good, shall we. This…
