When I saw Freddy getting resurrected by flaming dog piss, I thought perhaps we were onto a winner here. But alas, what we got was a very uninspired, dull ANOES entry with only a couple memorable moments.
So, let's start with my main point. It really drags. It's feels so damned long and it lost my interest frequently, despite it not even having that long of a runtime. The waterbed kill and the cockroach transformation kill were admittedly very inventive and fun to watch, but the rest were just so boring. The first was especially weak. We got Beachboy Sunshade Freddy, Crossdressing Nurse Freddy, Surgeon Freddy, Teacher freddy.. And we almost got Karate Master Freddy. If you're going to play Freddy Krueger dressup for comic relief, why suddenly draw a line and decide to make him invisible during that scene? It wouldn't been more effective, funnier and consistent to the rest to see him in full karate garb.
The whole mirror thing didn't make much sense to me, but the Alice vs Freddy fight in the church was fine, I guess, and the Freddy 'death' scene had some good effects. Just a very weak entry into the series unfortunately. Still better than Freddy's Revenge though.
