Gillian Kaney’s review published on Letterboxd:
Upping to a 9/10 from a 7/10
I can't believe it has been over two years since I watched this at the cinema. Time has flown.
Most of the points from my original review still stand. I will link that review below.
Except, I found it a lot more creepy this time. It really did make a difference not having an annoying audience around me.
The creepy atmosphere of this film is perfection.
So many shots are stunning!
I love that house! Also all the miniature stuff is really great.
I still feel it goes too far with the over acting. That does make it more humorous at times and I really don't think that was the intention. Collette and Wolff kind of need to reign it in just a little bit but hey, that's just my opinion of course.
That bit when she is up in the corner of his room! Holy moly!
