when i watched this a few years ago, i loved it to the point that i used it as inspiration for a short film i co-directed/DOP-ed/edited (that i now disown as one of my works, it's that terrible) because i was a pretentious high schooler and i liked pretentious indie films.
nice establishing shots and good cinematography, pero kinulang sa substance and depth overall. all this did to me was make me jealous lol naol naka-experience ng benilde film irl haha *cries in film school pero online classes*
miss ko na manila at mag-commute
weird how it tackles intersectionality but through the eyes of a white feminist and intersectionality only being used as a subplot for a white woman's feminist awakening, instead of portraying it as playing a much bigger role on the struggle against oppression in real life. at least it raised awareness for these issues though, but skinny cishet white girl vivian's just not the right lens to view it from. good film for those who are just learning about it tho
Ruby Ruiz na naman! Grabe napakagaling niya talaga, I've been waiting to see a film with her showing her skills since Iska, and Ang Pagdadalaga ni Lola Mayumi seems to do just that. Great screenplay, great cinematography, great acting from both leads, I LIVE for this
this was kind of a difficult watch for me masyadong nagresonate yung intimacy issues haha hit too close to home. natamaan din yung d*ddy issues ko dito hayop
