Gialli January #12:
Well'p, nobody can shoot trippy sex nightmares, oozing knife wounds and dead bodies like Fulci. That's for sure.
An acid-laced psychosexual whodunit / police procedural giallo that's spiced with a couple of gothic elements, some well timed jump shocks, and hallucinatory imagery all smash cut and zoomed in a tightly wound, breakneck paced 95 minutes. Features a funky ass Morricone opening theme, too.
Unfortunately the finale kind of falls apart due to it's own "all cards on the table" logic, but that's hardly a detriment in this near-perfect Fulci classic.
