Imagine if someone saw Se7en and thought "hey, I could make a film like that - but better" then you have I Saw The Devil. Uncompromisingly violent and relentlessly merciless, it's astonishing throughout.
Poses questions I hope I never have to ask about myself. Its central themes are so adult it makes me want to go back to high school and hide from it all. Still, it's fantastic all the way through even though it's unbearably violent and cruel. An ultimate "Never go to Korea" film too - horrible things happen to everyone and no one is safe.
In my top 10 films of all time.
