Brendan’s review published on Letterboxd:
In the first shot of Freddie, we see a man that's hiding, tense, and in a way curious about what lies ahead, obviously because he's in some type of battlefield. But his face is covered, we only see his eyes. This tells us all we need to know about Freddie. He is hiding all of his emotions because he's afraid of the oncoming attack of the outside world, but is still curious about what's on the other side of this foreign land. But in the last shot of the film we see Freddie laying on the beach, showing his full face, relaxed. The journey Freddie has taken on has finally helped him come to peace with the world around him and he can finally rest and be with himself.
