Nobody ★★★

I love that Bob Odenkirk got to make a JOHN WICK movie with the producer of JOHN WICK but it’s hard to view it as anything other than that. Also plays like a darkly comic A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE.

All the world building is clearly aping WICK but doesn’t work as well because its imitation. All the ironic music cues get to be a bit much, too. But there are a couple fantastic scenes - I lost my shit when he got *back* on the bus.

I don’t mean to sound negative - I had an absolute blast and a little ******** ***** with a shotgun goes a long way.

I’m glad I ignored the digital screener and caught this in theaters.
