In 2012 I started watching at least the first 10 minutes of practically every movie that gets a theatrical release, skipping only those that absolutely nobody seems to like. The vast majority get turned off after 10, but if I'm still interested I keep going to 20, then 30, and if I don't want to bail after 40 minutes I commit. Used to maintain a (very long) list of the casualties, but for some reason its existence pissed certain people off. So in its place, here are the films that "survived"—those I wound up watching to the end. Most of these land firmly in my "mixed" pile, but they all have something going for them, at least in the first two reels. And several of them surprised the hell out of me, well exceeding my rock-bottom expectations.
(I'm switching this list from alphabetical order to chronological order, with the most recently added film at the top. Easier to check and see what's been added later.)
Current survival rate: 86 of 1,866 (about 5%).
