A.V. Club review. Spent the first half exasperated bordering on angry, because the film seemed all-in on what I perceived as a highly dubious thesis. So I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's more The Imposter than Citizenfour. (Sadly, folks still don't get it even though Kennebeck gives up what would have been a perfect final shot—the empty chair—in order to tack on some spell-it-out voiceover, which I was about to call "needless" but clearly some people do need it.) Errol Morris exec-produced and this is very much in keeping with his don't-trust-nuttin' philosophy.
