Mike D'Angelo’s review published on Letterboxd:
Third or possibly fourth viewing, last seen 2009. (Look for me to revisit my very favorites more frequently in future—if I keep letting 14 years pass, I'm gonna see them one more time each. Maybe twice if I make it into my eighties.) Apart from tackling Walter and Phyllis' initial meeting in one of my earliest Scenic Routes columns, I've never written anything about this absolute corker, and am having a hard time figuring out how to go about it now; while my 100 rating merely signifies maximum personal enthusiasm, and isn't meant to suggest an absence of flaws, Double Indemnity comes closer than anything else I've ever seen to being a perfect movie, with every shot, word, performance and stray detail unimpeachable.
