  Zulawski's most personal film. Tales of dysfunctional couples have been told many times in cinema, this is by far one of the most impactful and creative!

  A claustrophobic, otherworldly atmosphere achieved through crumped sets and dull, mundane colors with occasional flashes of bright reds a la Argento.

  Remains sensual even at it's most grotesque, thanks to Adjani's performance. The subway scene will be difficult to forget.
