Gustavo Gonzalez’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Royal Tenenbaums: Family and Masterpiece.
If (Rushmore) was a promising young man showing adult characteristics, Tenenbaums is "The Adult" we all know today with his characteristic taste for color.
It is one where style and substance predominate in balance, its book structure makes the moments enjoyable, allows much more development between the characters and above all allows viewers to visualize from Anderson's imagination how the situations would look like without abandoning his characters.
I think the soundtrack is wonderful, even more so when it is set in that homey environment that the film wants us to experience. Created for lovers of good times and a film that achieves everything, we do not deserve The Royal Tenenbaums but we have it.
