George Clark’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Batman is dark, gritty and at times genuinely terrifying. With a sweeping, quite honestly breathtaking soundtrack/score, actual detective work and cinematography that looks beautiful throughout, Matt Reeves’ The Batman is an experience to behold channeling both David Finchers Se7en and Zodiac heavily, creating an interesting plot with chilling imagery that’s truly shocking throughout. Pattinson is remarkable, Kravitz is sublime and Deno is skin crawlingly chilling. The Batman isn’t just one of the best Batman films, easily up there with The Dark Knight, but it’s also arguably one of the best comic book adaptations ever made. Masterful in every way. I’m completely stunned.
