(500) Days of Summer 2009
Rewatched this the other morning and like I can’t deny (for better or for worse) of how formative this film was to me. I’d enjoy it more if it weren’t as inherently misogynistic but I think being older really helped me feel not only for Summer but for Tom as well. I think people brush this film off as “LOLZ TOM is TOXIC” but I mean, I think this film reads a lot better as an examination of the grief…

The Long Goodbye 1973
It was kind scary how modern looking the grocery store looked in this movie but I guess grocery stores haven’t changed much since the 1970’s.
