The Little Things

The Little Things ★★½

Among the faces of the hypothetical Mount Rushmore of police-procedurals would undeniably be that of David Fincher who revolutionized the genre with his prestigious works, Seven and Zodiac. Though it is mildly extricated by the star-studded cast it wields, The Little Things adheres to a trite narrative, which confuses morally ambiguous characters with compelling perspectives to follow for its 2hr 7min runtime. Try as they might, Washington, Malik, and Leto are unable to bolster a film comprised of ideas addressed in far better works than this. However, thankfully for those with HBO Max, the only thing you will be wasting on this film is your time.
