Despite having just a decently written role, John Abraham owns the screen and steals the show whenever he is on. His convincing performance sends the thrills and makes the audience feel the menace. And that is Pathaan's biggest strength. Action scenes are an added bonus in his case.

The suspense and tension that's rife in the first half undergoes a quantum drop in the second half. Utter lack of information in the first half is compensated by an information overload in the second half (especially towards the climax). This makes the big reveal less effective and come off as a hurry burry ending.
