John S.’s review published on Letterboxd:
Insurance drama pits Fred MacMurray’s loose-limbed salesman against Barbara Stanwyck’s blonde temptation. Only one thing is clear: the winner won’t be the insurance pusher. Sets a blueprint for others to follow. I haven’t really seen this before, and expected more twists and turns. It’s actually refreshingly straightforward, a wonderful murder procedural as well as an inside to an industry everyone can hate—even if they try to push Edward G. Robinson on us as one of its paragons. Nice try, insurance. The hammy monologues are just about the best you’re going to get.
