    Still Walking

Beautiful. Have never been able to describe how certain deaths have made me feel, the terrible area of mourning that is self involved and unspeakably grey and is no ones fault. Fully articulated how unceremonious grief can be. Broke me big time. But to just call this movie about grief is way oversimplified. Forgot that movies can teach you things, that is great. Hugely affective. “Wow” to this movie.

    Black Widow

Drove across town to a screening of The Suicide Squad a week early by mistake. But it was kind of good bc I also didn’t look at the dress code and it was “business”. I was wearing a sweater that said “A United States The America” Had it custom made back in January. Love showing it off, proud to have written it out here, even. However, would’ve felt a little silly wearing it next to The Suicide Squad screening clan and their nice…

    Midnight Run

Charles Grodin I didn’t understand as a child. “Why is he angry?” I thought. Now I understand, as an adult: Charles Grodin. “He is angry, for fun!” He is gone now, though. Lived a long life, though. Cant complain. In that I won’t complain for him. I’ve got my own stuff to complain about. He’s good in this movie. Not doing the angry bit just the neurosis. Gordin and De Niro very nice together. Wretched score made me turn it…

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery

Watched most of this while playing heads up poker for $1 with my live-in friend, Dillon. After a hour, right before the sharks with laser beams monologue, I won. Dillon said "I'm going to go watch Paris, Texas," and went to his room. A couple minutes later, around the time Michael McDonald got run over by a steam-roller I got a venmo for $1 from Dillon.

  • An American Werewolf in London

    An American Werewolf in London

Great movie about werewolves. Americans really are funny and dumb but kind of cool (I’m one), so when they’re in London, compared to the English, Americans a bit different! But then the English have their own quirks as well. Overly composed, sometimes. So that’s all funny. And then there’s werewolves, that’s also sick. And then there’s the undead hanging out being casually undead that’s sick too. Great movie.

I personally think there is a regressive aspect to painting Alzheimer’s in any sort of thriller light. Degenerative disease thriller not sit right, entirely. Some very very special stuff in here though.
