• Whiplash

I haven’t used this app for a while but I figured since I’m in film class I might as well right some reviews. Anyway whiplash is a great movie and I can’t believe I haven’t watched it all the way through yet but the intensity in this movie is fr some of the best I’ve seen in a long time. This will go down as a modern classic fs and jk Simmons in this. Crazy. What a way to come Back to reviews 🥁

  • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor strange 2 is a fun movie and something new for the mcu. Never before have I seen marvel go this far in terms of the content and therefore it makes sense why some people may claim this should be rated R. With that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this film and it’s action sequences. Nonetheless, it’s very messy at times and I don’t particularly agree with the way they handled some things without giving anything away. Ultimately, I think you’re left with a good movie that had the potential to be great and honestly a pretty solid 2 hrs (that should’ve been longer).

  • The Batman

    The Batman

Honestly one of the best superhero movies I’ve seen in a long time. This movie did so many things right. I loved it and I recommend that anyone go see it as soon as possible it’s a must see. DC did it right. Robert Pattinson isn’t my favorite Batman but I thought he still did a good job and was riveting in the role. It’s exactly as dark as I wanted it to be.

  • Belfast

I think Belfast is another fantastic film from this year it’s so sweet and heartfelt and such an easy watch, it’s nothing you have to be truly glued to. Oscar season is upon us and that means it’s time to sit back and enjoy films such as this that I wouldn’t have checked out otherwise.  But I’m glad I did.

  • The Power of the Dog

    The Power of the Dog

I just realized I never wrote a review for power of the dog and since I watched it recently and it seems quite possible that it will win best picture, I’d like to say that I thought it was great and one of the better films of the year. It’s quite slow but very suspenseful at times and very well done overall. I thought the ending was really good and a nice way to wrap up a very lengthy movie…

  • Licorice Pizza

    Licorice Pizza

Licorice pizza has so much flare and character that it makes it feel refreshing. It’s a very entertaining watch with plenty of color and a really nice score as well. There’s been a lot of great movies this year and I’m happy to say this is one of them. I’m excited to see how this does at the Oscar’s. Empty theater was a nice bonus too.

  • Dune

    Yeah it’s that good.

  • Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Enjoyable experience my friend deleted the rest of the review

  • The Suicide Squad

    The Suicide Squad

The new suicide squad is a pretty good improvement over the first and honestly a blast of 2 hrs. It hurts to say that it was a box office flop because people should really see this movie it’s great on the big screen. It’s hard to talk about any parts of the movie without spoiling things so I’m just gonna end the review and say anyone who reads this should see it. James Gunn nailed it.

  • Vertigo

Having just now seen vertigo, I can confidently say this is one of my favorite movies I’ve seen. Everything is incredibly unpredictable and very intense. I think this is Hitchcock’s masterpiece and a total work of art in cinema. I’m honestly astonished I haven’t seen it until now. I’m  totally speechless so that is that I guess.

  • Black Widow

    Black Widow

Marvel holds a dear spot in my heart, I’ve grown up with it and I continue to watch and rewatch their projects. I’m really grateful Scarlett Johansson became black widow, she takes over the screen movie after movie. We’ve waited years for this movie and sincerely it was well worth it. It certainly wasn’t marvels best but it holds its place as a very enjoyable film. The acting, dialogue, fights, it’s all there. The intro credits was my favorite part,…

  • Fear Street: 1994

    Fear Street: 1994

Pretty great start to the series, fear street 1984 was very riveting and entertaining and the plot line had many different unexpected turns as well which was enjoyable. I’m looking forward to following the series over the next two weeks but it’s a great start for sure. One of the best recent horror films I’ve seen. Well done Netflix, I was not expecting it to be that good.
