Woodstock 99: Peace, Love, and Rage

I´ve watched videos about the Woodstock 99-festival for years now, but this documentary adds something interesting. The bosses of the festival are interviewed here. And that makes a huge difference compared to other videos. One of the dudes even says that it was the womens fault that they were raped during the festival. I couldn´t believe what i was hearing.....the rest is a mixture of stage-performances (Korn and Limp Bizkit, etc...) and the usual festival-madness with fire and shit.....just kidding....…

Imagine: 12 year-old me. The biggest Michael Jordan fan in the world (well, at least i thought so) and than a movie with your hero and the Looney Toons is released in the theatre. It was the biggest event for me to that date. There was no way the new Space-Jam-flick could have the same impact on me than the one with his Airness. Well. I´m pretty impressed. I am not often impressed by horror-movies nowadays, but i liked the mixture of "The Void". You can cleary see where they wanted to go with this. It reminded me a lot of movies like Carpenters "The Thing" or Clive Barkers "Hellraiser". Creature effects meet Cenobytes. I also enjoyed, that they established a new mythology in the horror-genre. I would like to see more of it in future sequels.

"Witchery" seems to be a part of the italian "la casa"-series or "ghosthouse"-series. I´ve seen almost every movie of the series and they all have in common that they have nothing to do with eachother. This one is no exception. The Story is just a little setup for killing as much people as possible. A typical 80ies Haunted-house Slasher. With a few well known actors in it. Linda Blair, David Hasselhoff and even Hildegard Knef. I was very surprised to…
