These people really need to find a better way of communicating with each other. 

Executioners has a lot less of the silly kung-fu shit that made The Heroic Trio fun. AND the scope is scaled down in every way, which is rare for a sequel. 

The film still has its share of WTF moments, including the “deputy” president killing nun-nurses to keep a secret, Takeshi Kaneshiro appearing only to be inexplicably beheaded early on, and Michelle Yeoh having her arm ripped off and getting punched through the chest. 

Criterion is supposedly releasing Blu-rays of this and The Heroic Trio. I watched both on the channel, and they of course look gorgeous. They’d better do something about the subtitles, however, because they are complete trash.
