“Who is you Chiron?”
Deeply empathetic about the complexities of masculinity. This level of filmmaking just transcends and pierces right through. There’s nothing to describe the feeling when someone in a Barry Jenkins film looks directly at you. All three chapters, he deserved the biggest hug. The camerawork itself feels like a warm embrace, an understanding. Real shit about real people. Authentic to the core. Every emotion rang so true. Showing and not telling. Elevated the entire medium of film for me. Just beautiful.
“I cry so much sometimes, I feel like imma just turn into drops.”
PS. Jharrel Jerome’s charismatic presence? A star.
