Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings ★★★★½

- Somehow after a decent start to Marvel’s 2021 lineup of films, Shang Chi brings them back on track with probably the funnest film since Thor: Ragnarok.

- I know Wenwu is suppose to be the villain but dang it he’s just really like able. Like you feel bad because he just wants his wife back. Then you remember that he is an international terrorist involved in the deaths of 1000’s. Then he sacrifices himself so it evens out sorta kinda not really.

- I knew the action in this movie would be good but I wasn’t expecting it to be this good. Like the one take that starts the final battle, the one take when Wenwu gets his revenge for his wife. Oh lord all mighty it’s incredible.

- My one big issue is that the 3rd act does slow down a bit at points, but not long later it picks up again for the final.

- I never realized how cool Wong is. Like he helps train Abomination to fight then takes him to fight for money. Then sings Hotel California with Shang and Katy that’s pretty epic. I hope in Doctor Strange 2 he just boxes a bunch of bad guys for no other reason then he’s bored.

- Overall probably my most enjoyed Marvel movie (Though I do need to rewatch Ragnarok) with great acting, incredible action, great looking CGI (especially on Abomanation and the Guardian Dragon who I thought was suppose to be Fing Fang Foom, but no one calls it that so I was wrong.), and an incredible story that makes this one of the best movies I’ve seen this year and one of Marvel’s best movies. Now the wait for Venom 2 and Eternals begins. Until whenever my next review may be peace out y’all. It gets the 3rd spot pushing Mitchells vs The Machines down a peg.
