Letterboxd — Your life in film

Might’ve given it a 4.5 but I have no idea what the hell Michelle Williams was doing.

If the science in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was real I would use it to forget this movie ever existed.

An absolute blast. One of my favorite action films of the last twenty years.

Call your parents.  And your raccoons.

Ok. The magic of the original franchise relied on our three heroes. You can’t make Harry Potter movies without Harry, Ron, and Hermoine.

Some major plot points and character arcs are unearned and just exist to keep the story moving. But it’s batshit crazy. Sloppy. But crazy. I enjoyed it. But I doubt it will hold up to multiple rewatches.

Instant classic and a true love letter to OG slasher films.

It’s powerful at times. But something seemed off. I didn’t need google to tell me it was a remake of a French film. That was glaringly obvious by the character’s interactions and the overall sense of humor and pacing of the scenes. There are universal themes which transcend cultures and borders. But the humor doesn’t translate.

Checks all of the sequel/reboot boxes.

Great cast. Solid pacing. Embraces the legacy characters. Lame motive.

This is my palette.

Every one copies this film for a reason.
