“Let you live? No! Of course not. Can’t you see that? I mean, that would ruin the menu”

    Wonderfully sadistic

Best movie of the year contender in my eyes. Foodies and elitists are properly skewered from start to finish in one of my favorite dark comedies I’ve seen in a while if not ever. I think anyone would have fun with The Menu but if you’re at all interested or aware of the foodie scene it’s really on another level.…

I had no idea what I was getting into with this one, but I certainly wasn't ready for that! It's such a wonderful feeling when you stumble into a special movie. Definitely was better off going in blind.

A gorgeous western(?), beautiful colors and the landscapes are sensational. Every shot and camera movement felt deliberate and so well executed, really impressive work done behind the camera. Although it’s the whole ensemble that makes this so memorable for me, great performances…

“You have a google alert for the word ‘movie’?”

Fun movie that eventually recaptures what was so great about the first movie in the second half. Wish it came a bit earlier but once it found its legs it was everything I had hoped it would be. Craig and Norton do the heaviest lifting but the whole ensemble was fun to watch.

I think I’m always going to get a kick out of a whodunnit so I’m not the…

    “Hurt people hurt people”

I lowered my expectations to “at least it’ll be entertaining” and it was such a blast now I think the trailer undersold it (gave away about 70% of the potential intrigue tho). The movie is full tilt from start to finish and juggles the action/humor/mystery really well, credit to David Leitch. What all wannabe summer blockbusters should aspire to, I think everyone came out of the theater absolutely buzzing.

Pitt is the heart of the project…

    ★★

This didn't work for me at all. Tom Hanks sounded like a South Park character. Not enough of the story was actually about Elvis. They pushed the Elvis as a civil rights hero angle incredibly hard which was kind of strange. It was impossible to tell how much time was passing from one moment to the next, the only real clue is the intensity of spray tans. I'm not sure if the editing/visuals were good or just memorable due to…
