    The Haunting of Hill House

There's a moment near the end of the second episode of The Haunting of Hill House that made me realize I was watching something truly extraordinary. It's a sequence after mortician Shirley has finished cleaning the body of her tragic sister Nell. She's exiting the room and she looks back. All of a sudden there's her long dead mother sitting up on the slab with icy dead eyes. It filled me with such dread and heartache that I was taken…

    Death Becomes Her

Madeline Ashton and Helen Sharp were meant to be together. They both unlocked the sociopath in one another and it warms my heart to know that they always, even in death, had each other. God, this movie is one of those that I can go years without watching and then rediscover it and fall completely in love again. The effects are a bit dated but it doesn't matter. Also, that look Emily Blunt gives Benny Safdie’s character at the end when he tries to shake her hand saved my life.

It’s irrational and illogical and that’s the world Beau is living in because that’s what his brain sees even if it’s not nearly as bad in actuality. Joaquin Phoenix slayed, as per. It’s kind…

So apparently some people fainted while watching this movie? What kind of church lady dramatics? I've seen more grotesque goings-on at Walmart on a busy afternoon.

    Bride of Chucky

The smartest decision the people behind the Child's Play franchise ever made was adding Jennifer Tilly to it. Her camp appeal takes the world of Chucky to a whole new level of fabulousness.
