August Affleck’s review published on Letterboxd:
Just as good as I remember. Fantastic Mr. Fox is not only a film with fantastic animation that makes you appreciate the amount of effort put into stop motion, but it still maintains Wes Anderson’s recognizable and charming visual style. I also enjoy the way this plot comes about due to a midlife crisis, although it’s not explored all that deeply and to be honest I would have liked to have seen these themes be in the film a bit more. Despite this, the character growth is still good, especially the arcs in all of their relationships, whether it is Mr. and Mrs. Fox, Mr. Fox and Ash, or Ash and Kristofferson, they are all developed really well, as even if their relationships have rough patches, they still all truly love each other.
