feeling a bit cold towards this despite my affection for Manville and her innate likability here. I would be more or less charmed by this Amelia Bedelia dealio did it not feel so cheap and shoddy to look it, so clearly not (or barely) in Paris and stuffed with young actors who look like they wandered onto set from a RADA rejects pile. the old guard is fun – I am loving this era of Jason Isaacs – and Huppert has a crazy haircut. IDK, sue me, this didn't have to be two whole hours.
